Music selected for the new organ, new church decorated,
Father Joseph Mohr, also new to the church in Obendorf,
left nothing to chance — especially the music.
Austrians loved the sound of music and never more so
than at Christmas.
No one in this alpine village missed the candle-light service.
St. Nicholas would be ablaze with light and sound. Then dismay. Father Mohr discovered the organ was broken. Is something broken in your life this Christmas – a marriage, a
friendship, health, a vehicle, a business? Can’t be fixed?
“Our first child!
He’s beautiful.
Call Mom, Granddad, Aunt Sally.
Text Joey, Sarah.
Where’s the camera?
Facebook everyone.
A balloon! Billy, buy a blue one.
Walmart’s open.
Keys on the coffee table.”
The angel couldn’t keep quiet either:
Don’t be afraid.
I’m here to announce a great and joyful event that is meant for everybody, worldwide:
A Savior has just been born in David’s town, …
Jotting “DO” on my napkin and five circles with an arrow through them, “We jump through hoops, Muhammad, straining to do enough good to earn God‟s blessing. And the bad news — we trip, no one makes it.”
“But the good news is spelled „DONE‟.” I drew a cross. “Look what God has done for us! He picked up the bill
— His gift for us.”
For a child has been born—for us! the gift of a son—for us! Isaiah 9:6 The Message
Licking up the last of the meat juices with my pita bread, I pulled out some Lebanese bills.
Lively discussion last Saturday night among the 50 folk gathered in our night of fellowship. Some go all out with decorations etc, one family has gone out with it all, and many are out in the middle.
I read from Romans 14:2-3
One man’s faith allows him to have a Christmas tree, but another man’s faith does not allow him. The man who has the Christmas tree must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not have a Christmas tree should not look down on the man who does, for God has accepted him.
Seemed to help.
I’m thinking about having half a Christmas tree.
A memorable Christmas to both you with a Christmas tree and to you without a Christmas tree.
