Many people on Logos Hope Mission Ship asked what was the one wish on the person’s heart and then they were able to pray a short prayer that God would bless that person/situation. ( you can check out ONE WISH gospel sharing training videos and materials ….Richard Sharp on line: OneWish4U.com
It was amazing to see reserved and private Japanese people open up and share a deep need from their heart. Many cried! As they thanked us for praying for them.
The average church in Japan is 10-12 people over 60 years old. Many cities have no church.

The 3 most important days in the history of the world are the 3 days of the first Easter weekend and 4 events that happened to one person:
3 days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
4 events: died, buried, raised, appeared
1 person: Christ
“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that CHRIST DIED for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was BURIED, that he was RAISED on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he APPEARED to Cephas, and then to the Twelve…”
1 Corinthians 15:3-5 NIV
Happy Easter

We ended up at McDonalds. I had previously given Luke, this troubled 18 year old, my tract when I was at Laura’s work. As we sat there and I asked him about the evening he said he respected us but did not have the same view of God. He then went on to tell us about himself a bit and then got emotional as he explained his life had been turned upside down and his world inside out as 12 months ago he stopped his father committing suicide.
He told me that he keep my tract in his wallet as it brings him comfort when he reads it. I said “Luke can I ask you one question…If you could have one wish………” He said “wow that is a very amazing question” he thought for a while and then said “I wish my family was back to how it was 6 years ago”. I said “Luke, can I pray for you right now, eyes open right here in McDonalds” he said “yes please”.

This last weekend Rachel and I attended the memorial service for Peggy, my wife’s aunt.
I came to know her simply as the napkin lady when she came onboard our mission ship Logos II with her husband Birch, who volunteered as the ship’s doctor for 3 months.
Her strokes meant that she could not climb the many stairs onboard or talk beyond a ‘yes’ or ‘no.’ But she could smile and chuckle.
And everyday I would find her in the dining room smiling and chuckling as she neatly folded hundreds of napkins for the 200 young people serving in mission.
Peggy became known simply as the napkin lady.
She joins the woman who anointed Jesus with the alabaster oil and of whom he said, “she did what she could” (Mark 14:8).

“While you are waiting for your daughter to come out of the bathroom,” I asked this Muslim man in the spanking new mall just completed for the London Olympics, “may I ask you, ‘If you could wish one thing from God today for you, what would that be?'”
“That all the sins of my past would be forgiven,” he sighed, “and a way would be made open for me.”
“May I show you with these four pictures on my wristband how you can have your sins forgiven and a way made open for you.”
“Yes,” replied Muhammad with is greying beard.
Pointing to the the diamond, I began to show him… [watch One Wish Presentation video on home page]
